CCHT completes new strategic plan CCHT has finalized a new strategic plan that will guide the organization from 2007 to 2011.
The plan outlines CCHT’s goals to become an industry leader in the creation of high-quality affordable homes, to meet high standards for property operations, and to connect and engage residents. CCHT expects to continue its commitment to serve the very poorest as much as politically and financially possible.
The plan also prioritizes the long-term financial strength of the organization, including the development of a new financial model for producing and preserving quality homes.
Significant input from key stakeholders informed the plan, says Carletta Sweet, Chairperson of CCHT’s Board of Directors. “We collected input and data from funders, government agencies, policy makers, and even building residents. They shared information on what we should do going forward.”
The plan also integrates CCHT’s newly adopted organizational vision, “that every person has a home and is interconnected within community.”
“This work has helped us understand and define for ourselves what home really means,” says CCHT President Alan Arthur. “We’re part of the equation, but not all of it. CCHT residents also play a role. We’ll work to support residents’ efforts to create homes for themselves.”
CCHT staff members have already begun working to implement the goals outlined in the new plan.
