East Village
 East Village transformed a once neglected section of the Elliot Park neighborhood into an affordable, thriving place to live.
East Village provides a mix of 180 affordable and market-rate rental homes. Located near downtown Minneapolis, the development offers the convenience of an on-site market, restaurant and Dunn Brothers coffee.
East Village was designed to place "eyes on the street" for public safety and encourage a sense of ownership by residents. All buildings have multiple entrances to encourage neighbor interaction.
An underground parking garage frees up space for a landscaped courtyard and a pedestrian greenway that leads to Elliot Park, a city park with year-round activities.

Development history
East Village was the first market rate housing built in the Elliot Park neighborhood in near ly 70 years. East Village creates much-needed affordable rental homes and enhances the neighborhood with several small businesses.
Prior to East Village, the three acre site contained several deteriorated rental homes, old commercial buildings and blighted surface parking lots.
This mixed-use, mixed-income development has had a positive and far-reaching impact on the City of Minneapolis. Among other awards, it received the 2001 "Most Innovative Housing Project" award from the Minneapolis Neighborhood Revitalization Program.
