Proposed transformation
| Located in Roseville, Sienna Green (formerly known as Har Mar Apartments) is Aeon's second suburban development. In light of the significant renovation and transformation planned for the site, Aeon renamed the property "Sienna Green" at its August 2009 ground breaking celebration.
Aeon plans to rehabilitate the site's existing 120 units (phase 1) and construct an additional 50 units (phase II). Rehabilitation of existing one-bedroom units is slated to begin in 2009. Construction of new two- and three-bedroom units is anticipated to begin once funding has been secured.
A model for preserving aged affordable housing Aeon has worked with Roseville's Housing and Redevelopment Authority and more than 13 other funders to renovate the struggling site in a green, sustainable way to help preserve and create housing for all income levels.
Originally built in 1965, Sienna Green is located at the intersection of Snelling Avenue and Highway 36, near the Rosedale shopping center and a host of other commercial retail stores. The renovation will serve as a model of how to preserve aged housing stock.
