South Quarter: Transforming an urban core Through a partnership between Aeon and Hope Community, the intersection of Franklin and Portland Avenues is being completely transformed to feature more than 300 high-quality homes along with new retail businesses and community space.
The South Quarter development (formerly Franklin Portland Gateway) transforms a historically blighted and underutilized urban intersection. It will provide carefully designed urban density and include both rental and homeownership housing, ranging from small studios to three-bedroom townhomes.
The South Quarter development will also create up to 30,000 square feet of neighborhood-scale commercial businesses, providing amenities for residents and the greater community.
Designed to be family- and pedestrian-friendly, the South Quarter development will completely change this once vacant intersection into an attractive, vibrant community hub.
